Lobo Gun Leather started as a hobby-based business in 1972. As a young police officer there were things that I wanted for myself, and I made them. Then my friends and co-workers started asking me to make leather gear for them. This remained the situation until after I had retired from law enforcement.

I have used and carried just about every type and style of holster over the past 40 years. I have come to understand what works and what doesn't work, what is comfortable and what is not. What I offer to my customers is, in large part, that base of experience.

I make holsters in several styles, some intended for concealed carry, others intended for range and field use. Within each style there are several options available to customize the product to individual needs and preferences.

PRODUCTION TIME:

Production times have consistently run in the 4 to 5 week range for many months. This may vary as order volume fluctuates. I always try to give a good faith estimate when acknowledging each order.

SHIPPING AND HANDLING:

Domestic deliveries to US addresses are sent via US Postal Service with delivery charges as follows:

First item ordered, add $4.00.

Each additional item ordered, add $1.00.

International deliveries are sent by mail at the rates found on the USPS postage calculator webpage.

MATERIALS

Unless otherwise noted for a specific item, I use top-quality vegetable tanned cowhide of weights appropriate for each design. I buy from reputable US tanneries, no imported hides, no junk. There are cheaper ways to do it, but not here at Lobo Gun Leather.

METHODS

All of my products are wet-molded and hand-fitted to the handgun, finished with neatsfoot oil compound for lasting protection, and treated with acrylic sealant for moisture protection.

Holsters are hand-formed by the cased and blocked method (wet forming) and most will be "boned", which is a process utilizing a variety of tools to mold and model the leather to the details of the handgun's shape.

Tooled and carved holsters will be wet-molded, cased and blocked, not detail boned, as this would destroy the details of tooling or carving.

A NOTE ON PATENTS AND COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENTS:

There are many holster makers out there, there are many unique designs (some of which have been patented), and there are copyrighted trade names in use by other makers.

I respect the designs and innovations created by others, and I have great respect for those who have come to this business before me. I will never knowingly copy another maker's design, nor will I offer any product that infringes upon the patents or copyrights of others.

Please do not ask me to duplicate the products or designs of other makers.
